Water Safety

Wednesday last week we had a pj day at water safety where students learnt how to swimm more effectively when wearing clothes. We also learnt how to throw a rescue rope and how to stand up in swift water. Here are some photos.

Lunchtime Fun

George and his friends have organised a fun lunchtime activity. Well done boys for taking the initiative and organising the Fidget Spinner design competition.

Water Safety PJ Day

The Children all need to bring winter pjs for Wednesday's water safety lesson.  If they dont have pjs a long sleeved t shirt and track pants will be ok.

Water Safety Lessons

A reminder to Bring your NAMED togs and towel on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday this week. We will be out of the classroom between 9.30 and 11 am.

If you have been sick with vomiting and diarrhoea in the last fortnight you are asked to stay out of the pool by the Pioneer Staff.  If you have any open cut you may not enter the pool.

Please bring a note if you are unable to participate.

Winter Sport

Hansens Park and Hagley Park sport starts this week.

Children need to come to school prepared for their particular sport.

Everyone should have a drink bottle and a polar fleece with them when they go off site.
Hagley players must have their playing uniform.  Children will not play if they do not have their sports uniform and shoes:(

For Hagley Sport

Football and Hockey: Please have your boots in a plastic bag so you can change into your boots at the field. No boots are to be worn on the bus. If you are playing in your trainers, and they have become muddy, you will need to take these off and put them in a plastic bag when boarding the bus.

Football and Hockey need to have Blue Socks. These can be purchased at school for $10. These are needed to hold the shin guard on, and to make the team look good. :)    No shin pads / No play. :(

It is compulsory for Hockey to wear a mouth guard too.   No guard no play. :(

Children are to wear their uniform to school and get changed at morning tea time into their playing uniform.

SPCA AWARENESS LUNCHTIME

Most important that the students who are in Ms William's make a difference group you need to be ready for our SPCA Awareness Lunchtime Monday 8th May

Remember to dress up as animals, bring your face paint set up the game and the slide show before 12.45

Promote this event while the students are eating their lunches.

WELCOME BACK TO TERM 2

Wednesday:  Today we started a Science rotation.  Room 15 were talking about the States of Matter
and Reactions...  Room 14 talked about heat conduction and insulation.  Look under the Inquiry Tab for the videos of what we were looking at.. I must remember to take some photos..
